In partnership with Meridia, Armour Group is currently seeking a Terminal Business Manager to join their Moncton, New Brunswick location.

 

Role Overview

As the Terminal Business Manager, you will play an integral role in overseeing terminal operations, staff management, and resource allocation coordination. Reporting directly to senior management, you will ensure that operations are executed in compliance with industry standards and regulations, while fostering a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement.

 

Your Responsibilities

  • Managing all aspects of terminal operations, staff management, and equipment allocation coordination in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Handling a high volume of communication, including via email, satellite, phone, and in-person interactions.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing customers, ensuring their transportation needs are met and identifying opportunities for additional services.
  • Ensuring adherence to federal and provincial regulations, safety standards, and environmental guidelines.
  • Measuring operating results, analyzing data, and implementing corrective actions as required.
  • Providing strong leadership to the Moncton team, encouraging a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Developing and implementing contingency plans for handling disruptions that may affect operations.
  • Coordinating variable shifts (i.e., days, nights, weekends, holidays) as required to ensure smooth operations.

 

Your Qualifications

  • Completion of secondary school (grade 12) required.
  • CITT certification or university/college degree in a related field considered an asset but not required.
  • Minimum 5 years of management and industry-related experience.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask and consistently meet deadlines.
  • Self-motivated individual with analytical decision-making abilities.
  • Effective communication skills, both with individuals and groups.
  • Proficient in analyzing situations, identifying problems or conflicts, and negotiating win-win solutions.
  • Confident in leading teams, presenting to large groups, and providing constructive feedback.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, with proficiency in Word and Excel.
  • Experience and knowledge of transportation safety and compliance issues.
  • Experience with TruckMate software considered an asset.
