On behalf of our client, we are currently recruiting for a Junior Production Artist to join their team of dedicated professionals in Dartmouth, NS, reporting to the Marketing Supervisor. The Junior Production Artist works primarily in the area of Flyers and Promotional material development. As a computer savvy graphics enthusiast, you are not afraid to think out of the box.

 

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

 

• Positional development and layout of weekly promotional flyer.
• Collaborate with internal team on a daily basis to prepare final print and digital files.
• Development of supporting materials for flyer and other promotional materials.
• Maintain and archive past print and related files.
• Development of POP material artwork for use in-store.
• Edit product and other related promotional photos as required.
• Assist in maintaining database of product and other images for use in promotional projects.
• Other related duties as assigned.

 

As the ideal candidate, you possess 1-2 years experience in print/graphic production and development. Strong project management skills and attention to detail – typesetting, layout, photo editing, and color editing skills, will be key to success in the role. Visual and detailed orientated, you possess strong organizational skills and are able to prioritize multiple projects and deadlines. With exceptional internal/external communication and listening skills, you are a positive team player who contributes to the team’s overall success and development. Experience developing graphics for social media platforms, along with eagerness to learn and develop new skills, is essential. High level knowledge of InDesign and Photoshop, along with working knowledge of Illustrator, Outlook, Office, Excel, and PowerPoint, will be preferred. Expereince with motion graphics such as After Effects will be considered beneficial but is not required.
