We are recruiting a Community Relations Specialist to join the Coleman Group of Companies.

Reporting to the Manager of Marketing, the Community Relations Specialist will be responsible for building and maintaining a positive image for the Coleman Group of Companies. The Community Relations Specialist will establish and maintain relationships with customers, employees, media and community groups, as well as planning and executing public events and coordinating outreach campaigns.

The Specialist will liaise with category managers, store managers and staff to develop and lead in-store and community events, participate in local events and seek out new opportunities to give back to Colemans customers and the communities in which they live. S/he will assist with the delivery of Colemans strategic communications using communication channels like email and social media and will assist with the writing and editing of materials across multiple platforms. Responsible for developing public relations strategies for current and existing products, launches, and promotions as needed, s/he will create budgets and plan events and all requirements included (security, venue, etc.). As the public ambassador for Colemans they will analyze media coverage and assist in developing responses when needed and manage communications with Colemans customers (phone, email, social media) and respond to requests for information, complaints and feedback.

This is an exciting career opportunity that requires a candidate with a bachelor’s degree in public relations, communications, marketing, journalism, or a related field and 2-5 years public relations/communications experience. We seek a candidate who takes initiative to develop new strategies and outside-the-box ideas for social media and other new media who is positive and motivated. Demonstrating confident presentation skills and attention to detail, the successful candidate will have superb writing, copywriting and content creation skills and a clear understanding of digital/social media platforms. Joining a dynamic and driven team, s/he will be a savvy project manager, able to multitask and monitor several projects on a daily basis and be capable of meeting deadlines and milestones in a fast-paced environment.
